We make our cakes from scratch with organic eggs and homemade jams, curds, mousses, and buttercreams – never any pre-made fillings in our kitchen. We take great pride in both the taste and presentation of our cakes, ensuring that each cake is not only delicious but also visually stunning.

When her peers were focused on pursuing a career as a 9-5er, Aramide toyed with the idea of venturing in creative arts, specifically creating magic, whipping flour mixture into creamed mixture. “But I certainly wouldn’t have guessed that the art and science of baking would become my life’s passion,” She gushes.

Our Story

At the heart of our brand is the founder, Aramide, who started out as a seasoned finance expert, but her passion for baking eventually led her to pursue her dream of creating exquisite cakes. Aramide attended baking classes in her free time and would ask family members and colleagues to taste her creations and provide feedback. The overwhelming compliments she received encouraged her to take further training from top pastry chefs in Lagos and renowned pastry experts in Paris, where she honed her cake baking, designing, and decoration skills.

The Sweet Layers Factory was launched right after Aramide arrived from Paris, her passion and dedication to creating beautiful and delicious cakes quickly earned her a reputation within 5years as one of the best contemporary cake designers in Lagos. Her impressive client list includes notable names such as Mo Abudu, Noble Igwe, Nancy Isime, Otedola, Mobil, HP, Coronation Bank, First Bank Quest, and many others. These high-profile clients trust The Sweet Layers Factory to deliver exceptional quality cakes that was blend of art and taste.

However, Aramide had to shut down operations in Lagos to focus on the exciting opportunity to relocate with her family to Houston, starting a new chapter for herself, her family, and The Sweet Layers Factory.

After spending the last few months settling her family into their new community, Aramide is back to mentoring, tutoring, and designing beautiful cakes in Houston, Texas. The Sweet Layers Factory is now located in the Woodlands neighborhood of Houston, and all orders are processed online via our website.
